During my time at Hooey, I was the sole headwear designer and responsible for curating the entire collection. I built hats from scratch, paying close attention to detail and showcasing my passion for craftsmanship. I handpicked fabrics, chose complementary thread colors, and created hats that aligned with the brand's image. To elevate the brand, I incorporated unique patches and embellishments, adding sophistication and appeal to the headwear collection.
I managed both the creative and technical aspects, including designing detailed instructions for the factory team. I also kept communication open with the factory and clients to meet all requirements. Our main goal was to wholesale our products to many retailers in the US. Our headwear line, Hooey's flagship product, made a lot of money for the company. This success shows how hard I worked on each product. Being the only headwear designer at Hooey was an important opportunity to help a prestigious brand grow. I'm proud that my work helped make Hooey a leader in the Western headwear industry.
